The Earth & Environmental Sciences Program at Susquehanna University
Susquehanna University's earth and environmental sciences degree program explores how Earth's systems work and how humans impact those systems. Our students are career ready as they take courses in hydrology, geology, weather, soil science and more, with lots of hands-on field and lab work, culminating in a research collaboration with faculty.

One thing that is unique about Susquehanna's campus is that we are really close to a lot of environmental features in the area. We are located along the Susquehanna River, and that gives me a lot of opportunities to explore different labs and different ways to analyze the river and landscapes around us.

Our classes are small and focused. You will graduate with real-world experience and in-demand skills. Earth and environmental sciences majors take foundational courses in environmental science, geology and the environment, water resources and introduction to meteorology. They then dive deeper to pursue their interests in water, geology, surface and climate/energy topics.
Electives include organic chemistry, air quality and aquatic ecology — just to name a few.
We are here to help you coordinate all of the available options — from scholarships to loans to work-study opportunities — to make a Susquehanna education affordable for you.
You'll be automatically considered for scholarships. Many of our scholarships are awarded independent of financial need and may be renewed each year.
